Scope and safeguarding

What WTAFL is, and what it isn't

WTAFL offers non-clinical anxiety, confidence and family support. It does not replace medical care, psychiatric treatment, formal therapy, crisis intervention or emergency safeguarding services.

Where concerns fall outside what WTAFL can offer, families will be encouraged to contact their GP, the school safeguarding team, local mental health services or another appropriate professional.

If a young person is at immediate risk, contact 999, NHS 111 or your local urgent mental health line. WTAFL is not a crisis service and cannot be contacted out of hours for emergencies.
